Cindy Allen

Downtown Business / ETA Advertising

As a native of Long Beach, Cindy Allen grew up dreaming about ways to improve her community. A Poly High School and Long Beach State graduate, her initial plan to harness that energy was built around a career in law enforcement. Cindy was a Meritorious Award-winning police officer for the City Long Beach with more than 40 commendations during her 12-year law enforcement career. An injury in the line of duty, as well as her natural affinity for community relations and a growing interest in graphic layout and design, led her to embark on a career in direct marketing and advertising.

After gaining experience through working with and leading several different advertising and marketing agencies, Cindy established ETA (effective, targeted advertising) in 2005 in Downtown Long Beach. ETA is known for its strategic, data-driven marketing communications, imaginative event planning, and ability to creatively integrate new and traditional approaches to brand building and development.

Now one of the fastest growing advertising agencies in Southern California, ETA has quickly built extensive credentials in a variety of areas including real estate, entertainment, government, health & beauty and retail. Under Cindy's guidance, ETA has distinguished itself as an agency capable of taking on complex, multi-million dollar projects while maintaining the kind of day-to-day senior level client relationships and accountabilities more common to a boutique operation.

In describing her experience of doing business in Long Beach, Cindy described the city as "big enough to provide a wide diversity of clients, but small enough to compete for clients. "That perspective is evidenced through her firm's ability to land contracts with some of Long Beach's most prestigious businesses, institutions, and attractions, including Queen Mary Island, Cal State Long Beach, The Aquarium of the Pacific, Long Beach Symphony Orchestra, and most recently, The Lofts at Promenade.

The success of ETA is based around building a team of employees that Cindy characterizes as the best in the industry. She follows that with the belief that sales drive the marketing plan, and her approach involves beginning with the goal in mind and building a marketing model designed to achieve those goals. Moreover, her team at ETA doesn't disappoint. After hitting a few marketing home runs for local real estate communities, Cindy has found that other real estate developers from around the country are retaining ETA to produce similar results. The firm's latest splash included the marketing and production of a one-day condominium sales event that yielded the 58 sales in a single day - all during a recession that has hemorrhaged residential real estate.

Cindy currently lives in Long Beach with her husband, Randy, a career Long Beach Police Officer, their 14-year old son, David and their 11-year old daughter, Erin. ETA's office is located at 121 4th Street in the historic Walker Building off Pine Avenue.
