Business Bragging Rights

April 23, 2010

The DLBA is proud to welcome Tomas Lydahl  of Sweden, who is traveling the globe to promote his new book, Get Your Customer to Brag About You.

Tomas regularly travels all over Europe speaking and training companies in the areas of business networking, sales and customer service. Tomas is a public speaker, trainer, coach, and consultant.  His lecture will focus on the practice of building your customer base through referrals by your existing customers.  Many companies believe that satisfied customers recommend new customers to them, but most of the time they do not.  It is the loyal customers that actively bring new customers to you. The only thing you need to do is to get your satisfied customers to become loyal. How do you do it? It is easier than you might think! Seize the opportunity to hear Tomas share his international insight and a great new perspective that may lead you to more referrals for your business.

Social Media Marketing 101 & 102

December 14, 2009

On November 10th and 17th, DLBA staff produced two business seminars focused on Social Media Marketing—using Twitter, Facebook, and other social media platforms for their businesses—delivered by  the Downtown business The Kreisler Group at the Courtyard by Marriott. Free and open to any current or prospective Downtown business owner or manager, seminar presentations included examples about what does and doesn’t work and provided information to assist businesses in developing their own social media marketing campaigns.  Over 100 people attended the two seminars.

Follow-up surveys from the seminars indicated that 100% of attendees rated the material as excellent or very good, and that they felt the seminars were helpful to their businesses.  Some of the free response feedback included:

“This seminar far exceeded many that I have paid to go to. Good job and thank you for the amazing presenters as well as the professionally designed content.

“102 was packed with useful information. I have created my Twitter, Hootsuite and Facebook Fan page. I completed my first tweet (on paper) for Dining for Doggies...I am thrilled with the information I now have at my disposal. Kudos to the DLBA”
